Bird of Paradise

Unknown to most people Ponce de Leon was a woodcarver by hobby.

Using his vivid imagination while sitting in a sunny, tropical, wheat field

he created the "Bird of Paradise" design and carved it into a piece of wood.

From that design it was transposed into metal with very little changes and

has become more popular as years go by.
